River's Edge has followed sustainable design, construction and operating practices. The first of the Offices at River's Edge is LEED gold certified, one of the few buildings to receive this certification in Greater Boston. The building’s design, resources and materials are energy- and water-efficient in compliance with standards set by the U.S. Green Building Council, which will result in lower operating costs and a healthier environment. The building's electricity and carbon output have been 100% offset through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits and Verified Emissions Reductions, preventing nearly 2 million pounds of CO2 from entering the environment annually.
