Community/Public Agency Involvement

Construction of The Park at River’s Edge which had begun in 2006 is substantially complete. Public agency and community participants assisting in oversight, conceptualization and funding of the Park’s improvements included the following:
  • Army Corps of Engineers
  • Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
  • Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
  • Mass DEP’s Division of Waterways
  • Massachusetts Water Resources Authority
  • Mystic Valley Development Commission (the “MVDC”), including the cities of Medford, Everett and Malden as well as the Governor’s Office
  • Malden Redevelopment Authority
  • Medford and Everett Conservation Commissions
  • Medford Planning Board
  • Medford Office of Community Development
  • MVDC’s Citizens Advisory Board which includes citizens of Everett, Malden and Medford
  • U.S. Department of Environmental Protection
  • Environmental Business Council of New England
